I’m Leslie Ann Costello and I am happy you are here. Welcome.
When people are in transition, the old road maps don’t work. Patterns of behaviour that used to work well now fail to keep you in your comfortable place. Transitions offer tremendous opportunities for you to deepen and grow, but it can be very hard to do that all by yourself. I can help.
I’m a body-oriented psychotherapist, with a special interest in mothers and motherhood. I did my graduate work at George Mason University in Fairfax, Virginia, obtaining a Master’s in school psychology (1988) and a Ph. D. degree in applied developmental psychology (1992), with emphasis on infant development and mother-infant interaction. I have worked in healthcare and academic institutions in the US.
I trained with the Atlantic Society for Bioenergetic Analysis from 2003-2012, and received certification as bioenergetic therapist (CBT) in 2012. I am trained in EMDR therapy for trauma. I have been licensed to practice psychology in Louisiana, New York, Maine and now have licensure in New Brunswick. I have maintained a private practice in Fredericton since 2008, with a focus on people experiencing life transitions.
